Lawn bowling in Tahunanui, Nelson

ALL LEVELS OF BOWLING

We’re a very friendly lawn bowling club in Tahunanui, Nelson, catering for all levels of lawn bowling, whether you’re a beginner, social, competitive or even a non-bowling member. We’re happy for you to borrow a set of bowls if you’re a member; casual players pay a small amount per game.

ROLLUPS & TOURNAMENTS

Roll-ups are informal, friendly sessions where everyone who comes or ‘rolls up’ is guaranteed a game. Usually played over 14 ends or sessions, they provide a good-natured, sociable game of around 2 to 3 hours duration.

We enjoy 3 rollups a week (weather dependent) all year round, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, *1pm- 4.30pm; please note for the 2 coldest winter months of July and August, we start an hour earlier to avoid the colder end to the afternoons.

* Check in a minimum of 15 minutes beforehand (earlier than that is recommended) if you wish to play in the rollup.

And we have monthly Tournaments available playing triples – including a tournament for players with ‘bowling arms’ (a special gadget for people who have difficulty bending down to bowl); check out our tournaments page HERE.

YEAR-ROUND BOWLING

Boasting a grass green as well as an artificial turf green, we’re able to bowl all year round. We’re close to the beach and a short drive from Nelson city, Stoke or Richmond. Come and check us out!
