Chocolate Saturdays!
Come and play lawn bowls for a couple of hours – fun, a bit of gentle competition, played outside on our artificial green, meet friendly folk! Saturday Sept 5, 12.45pm -3.30ish.
Weather permitting Chocolate Saturday will run for a trial period on the first Saturday of each month. If weather intervenes, it will move to the following Saturday.
Non-members $8 per person (includes bowls, free instruction, and mid-afternoon cuppa). Members to pay an extra $1 to participate; those members not wishing to participate can pay their $2 as normal and will be drawn in to separate games. Cuppa after game 2 and prize-giving in the clubhouse after game 3. Bar open as usual.

Details are as follows :-
1. Format will be drawn triples, three bowls each, three games of six ends each. This may be amended slightly if there is an imbalance of players and some ending up playing in Pairs.
2. Game results are to be entered by the skips in the relevant section on the board. Winners will be decided on games won, then ends won then points scored.
3. Prizes will be chocolates in some form and will be awarded to each of the players in the the top three teams. A maximum of nine prizes will be available. The exception will be if we end up with a combination of Triples and Pairs, the top two teams from the Triples will be declared the winners along with the winning team from the Pairs.
4. There will also be Prizes for first touchers for leads, twos and skips in games one and three (ie a maximum of three spot toucher prizes per Triples game and two for Pairs). If there are no touchers by any players in their respective positions, those prizes will carry over to the next chocolate Saturday.
